“We have great feedback from people using this tool and they have given us added suggestions for updating the information to be useful for their local community.
“We have taken these on board and the main change is the ability to search by local territorial authority,” says Aphra Green, Deputy Chief Executive, Policy, Insights and Data.
The Community Insights Explorer tool was launched in March 2023 following the adverse weather events in the North Island. It was the first time that social and demographic data had been compiled alongside land maps showing the impact of the weather events.
